A catch-all email mailbox receives email messages sent to non-existent addresses under the exact same domain name. For instance, a message sent to the mistyped suport@domain.com will be delivered to support@domain.com if the catch-all feature has been enabled for the latter. In this way, you can receive email messages from mates or customers who may have sent a message to your email address with a typographical error or to an outdated one, which they may still have, but you have already disabled. Just one single mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be activated for such a mailbox. The latter is due to the fact that at some point you may begin receiving spam emails in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding limitation implies that the spam will not be sent to a 3rd-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Cloud Website Hosting

If you’ve got a Linux cloud website hosting plan with us and you would like to enable the catch-all feature for a specific email mailbox that you’ve got in the account, it’ll take literally only one single click of the mouse in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia Control Panel to achieve that. A catch-all button is available on the right side of each email address that you have created under any domain name registered in your account. You can pick one email address per domain by clicking the respective button. This will activate the feature immediately, so all messages sent to misspelled addresses will be received there. Clicking the button once again will deactivate the catch-all feature. In case you have enabled email forwarding, our system will show a cautionary notification and you will not be able to activate the catch-all feature unless you disable the forwarding or you can simply pick a different mailbox to be the catch-all one.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

The catch-all option can be enabled effortlessly if you’ve got a semi-dedicated server plan with us. All the email addresses that you have created with the domains hosted in your account will be listed in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia Control Panel and you’ll notice a small button handily situated right next to each one. With only one single mouse click, you can activate or deactivate the catch-all option for any mailbox of your choice on the condition that there isn't another mailbox under that same domain with this option already enabled and there isn't active email forwarding. Instead, you can right-click on an email address and activate this option using the contextual menu that will come into sight. In case any of the requirements for setting up a catch-all mailbox is not answered, our system will let you know, but will not replace or deactivate anything automatically.
